climatic, meteorological,
hydrologic, seismic, coastal, ocean, environmental, and other scientific data of
all types, at a reasonable cost, from one of the densest and most extensive data
bases available. This data base archives everything from weather
observations and earthquake information, to runoff information and tides, going
back to 1948 and extending up to date to the present day, in either English or
metric units. The data base includes the United States, Canada, and elsewhere in
the world. Included are, but are not limited to:

Daily maximum and minimum temperatures.

Daily and hourly precipitation totals.

METAR, RAWS, and other collections of hourly and sub-hourly weather
observations from a vast network of airports, downtown stations, universities,

Horizontal visibility, obstructions to vision (fog, etc.), and precipitation
(type and intensity).

Remarks made by the weather observer, including beginning and ending of
